Understand the rules before you trust anyone with your money

We are not immigration lawyers and we do not file applications. What we can do is explain how the systems work, so nobody can take advantage of you not knowing.

Please read this first. Immigration rules change often and vary by nationality and circumstance. Nothing here is legal advice. Always confirm on the destination country’s official government website before you act, and consider a licensed immigration adviser for a complicated case.

Which visa applies to you

Nearly every application falls into one of these. Applying under the wrong one is the most common reason for refusal.

Refusals

Why applications get rejected

Most refusals are avoidable and have nothing to do with the applicant’s merit.

Funds not properly evidenced

Money that appeared in the account last week looks like borrowed money. Most countries want it held for a set period — often 28 days — with statements to prove it.

Inconsistent documents

A name spelled differently across passport, marksheet and offer letter is enough to stall an application. Fix spellings before you apply.

Weak ties or unclear intent

For temporary visas, officers assess whether you intend to comply with the terms. Vague answers about your plans hurt you.

Anything untrue

One false document can bar you from that country for a decade. No shortcut is worth this. None.

Protect yourself

Four habits that keep you safe

  • Only ever apply through the official government portal. Search the government domain yourself rather than following a link someone sent you.
  • Never hand your original passport to a recruiter or agent. Certified copies are sufficient.
  • Get every promise in writing. Verbal assurances about salary, hours or accommodation are worth nothing later.
  • Keep your own copy of every document you submit, and every receipt you are given.

Send us the paperwork before you commit

A second opinion from someone with no stake in the outcome costs you nothing. We take no commission from any employer, college or agent — ever.
