Applications open when the fund exists. Everything on this page is so your family is ready on day one rather than scrambling.
Who can apply
Deliberately broad. If you are unsure whether you qualify, apply anyway and let the committee decide.
- The student is from a Pal Samaj family — in India or abroad.
- A parent or guardian is a registered PalSamaj.org member (free, takes two minutes).
- The student is in school, or entering college, university or a recognised vocational course.
- There is genuine financial need. We ask about it honestly, and we keep the answer private.
What to have ready
Gathering these takes an afternoon. Doing it now means you are not chasing paperwork against a deadline.
Latest marksheet
The most recent result — school, board exam or college. A clear phone photo is fine.
Proof of admission or enrolment
Admission letter, fee receipt or a school ID. Whatever shows the student is actually studying.
A short statement of need
Half a page in your own words. What the family situation is, what the fees are, and what this support would change. Plain language. No formatting, no flourish.
The fee structure from the institution
So we can pay the school, college or bookseller directly wherever possible.
One contactable reference
A teacher, principal or a committee member who knows the student. We may call.
Need first, then sincerity and effort
Our education committee reads every application. We are not only looking for the highest marks — we are looking for the student for whom this money changes the outcome.
